WHY IT MATTERS
Your digestive experience is personal.
Some people benefit from adjusting fiber, meal timing and hydration; others need a more individualized review of symptoms and food triggers. Strict restriction is not always helpful, especially without a medical assessment. The aim is to understand what you tolerate and support adequate nourishment.
Why “gut health” is not one-size-fits-all
For irritable bowel syndrome, for example, healthcare providers may recommend changes such as gradual fiber adjustment or, in selected cases, a time-limited low-FODMAP approach with structured food reintroduction. These strategies are not appropriate for everyone and should not become permanent avoid-everything diets.
Persistent or concerning digestive symptoms deserve medical assessment. Nutrition counseling supports, but does not replace, appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
Support you can expect
- Reviewing the relationship between meals and symptoms
- Looking at fiber sources, meal pacing, fluids and everyday food choices
- Developing practical meals that still include foods you enjoy
- Monitoring tolerance and adjusting with your care team when needed
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Good to know
before you start.
Will I have to stop eating many foods?
Not necessarily. The aim is to avoid unnecessary restrictions. If a structured elimination approach is appropriate, reintroduction and adequate nutrition matter.
Is this a medical diagnosis for IBS or food allergy?
No. Diagnosis and any needed testing should be done by the appropriate clinician. Dietitian-led counseling can complement that care.
Can I use private pay for this service?
Yes. We welcome private-pay inquiries and discuss scope and individual fees before billing.
